Still Sketching!

And painting alittle!

Lately I have this obsession of sketching. Sketching everything from pencils to trees at my daughters bus stop. It actually gets alittle frustrating when you try to sketch something and you just can't like houses because you need to know how to do perspective which I bought a book on so I'm learning but lets just say its alittle harder then I thought. I also found a great site that teaches you alot and its free its drawspace.com. I'm also taking yet another online class by alisa burke called sketchbook delight. So if you want to sketch more and stretch go and check out both.

Hi Buffy,
I'm so glad you like your card!! Also your sketches are looking good. I'm taking Alisa's class, too-having a blast and learning so much! Thanks for the info on drawspace.com--I can't wait to check it out.

I am enjoying Alisa's class so far although it would be nice to have an obsession like you mentioned. I have to push myself to sketch right now but hopefully that will change.

I love sketching too. I try to keep pencils, pens and a small sketchbook near my bed, in the living room, and in my car, this way I'm ready whenever I want to express something or just practice. I love your drawings of the crows! Crows are so expressive.

I'm loving your sketches! I like the birds especially. I totally know what you mean about the frustration of having the want to and yet the skill is not up to par with your taste in art! Speaking of good places to learn- there is also a video podcast of drawing that is really good. Drawing Tutorials Online- check it out through itunes- it's free!
