Drift and Dream

"in a while one of us will go to bed and the other one will follow. Then we slip below the surface of the night into miles of water, drifting down and down to the dark, soundless bottom until the weight of dreams pulls us lower still. By William Collins.

"The Meek"

"Blessed are the Meek: for they shall inherit the earth"
Mathew 5;5
I always loved this scripture from the bible, I kinda of knew what the word "Meek" meant but I decided to look it up so here's part of the meaning the part that spoke to me.Or maybe what this girl seems to be. She kinda reminds me of myself not that she looks like me but just her body language. They say when you draw, you always draw from your soul a part of yourself!
Meek-Easily imposed on,submissive.

Bad Art!!!!

They say practice, practice, practice and you will improve,HUH I have been practicing, practicing, and practicing and still no improvement, Bad art over and over! Can you tell I'm frustrated. All weekend I have been painting (well in between grocery shopping and cleaning the house, making a roastbeef for the whole family to come over tonight plus making homemade chicken salad and macaroni salad for lunch today and tomorrow. And twenty loads of laundry ok maybe not that many) and this is the only thing showable,(is that a word??) the other two are just going in the trash! Back to work tomorrow Wahhhhhhh!

A couple of smaller pieces.

I decided to make a small art book, about 10 pages, kind of like a journal but just seperate pages that I can tie together. The pink one is an image that misty mawn let us use in her online class that I just painted over to change it a bit.

Not much of a Gardener!

In my garden, there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful.

Scattering Daisies

All summer she scattered the daisy leaves; They only mocked her as they fell,She said;"The daisy but deceives;'He loves me not,he loves me will',one story no two daisies tell." Ah foolish heart, which waits and grieves under the daisy's mocking spell.

"Inside the window"

"Fair as the exterior may be, if you go in,you will find bare places, heaps of rubbish that can never be taken away,
cold hearths, desolate altars, and windows veiled with cobwebs."
By Myrtle Reed

I've had enough!

....its time to walk away,I made a choice to finally let go because I can't stand the pain, its time for my last tear to fall and smile again.

Dreams can be shattered!

Words can be harsh! Sometimes words like "You're getting there" just are'nt the words you need to hear. Those words can make you really think about what you're doing, thoughts like "maybe I'll never be good enough,""Who do I have to be good enough for."Or how about words like maybe you should go back to doing that instead of doing what you're doing now and then you think of those words and say to yourself,"maybe I should be doing that instead of this, but I love doing this and I don't like doing that,"I should do what I enjoy doing. Such words can shatter dreams of the heart!
